The analog input located on the GPIO (general purpose input/output) option card is used to receive a 4-20mA signal from external devices. The value can be used in programming to use process data from other components such as temperature, pressure and flow sensors.
The analog output located on the GPIO (general purpose input/output) option card is used to transmit a 4-20mA signal to external devices such as PLCs, VFDs, and actuators. The analog output scales the4-20mA signal according to the values assigned. For example, if a gross weight value of 0 is assignedto 4mA and a gross weight value of 100 is assigned to 20mA, the analog output signal would be8mA [(20mA-4mA)/2] when the gross weight is 50 [(100-0)/2].
  • Name: Provides the option to assign a nickname.
  • Weight at 4mA: Value assigned at 4mA.
  • Weight at 20mA: Value assigned at 20mA.
  • mA Value: Current value of mA signal
  • Output Value: Scaled value based on current mA value.
  • Usage: Assigns mA valve to selected type (gross, net, or ROC).
